About this specimen
Azure gibbsite spreads beneath lavender creedite on a thin Guizhou matrix plate. Intense blue botryoidal coating follows the lower edge and fills small depressions, while soft purple flowered growth blankets the raised center. Pale gray and white crystals bridge the two color zones across the textured surface. Two views show the continuous blue rim, broad lilac field, and natural plate-like outline of this vivid mineral association. Dimensions: 3 × 4.2 cm / 30 × 42 mm / 1.18 × 1.65 inch. Estimated weight: 13 g / 0.46 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
