Blue gibbsite forms a rolling crest across the top of a dark, rough matrix. Curved ridges overlap like small waves, with rounded knobs interrupting the smoother bands. Below the crest, thinner blue patches follow the host's uneven surface, creating a clear transition from dense growth to scattered coating. Both photographed angles show the relief of the upper folds, which is the defining visual feature of this broad, relatively shallow piece.
