About this specimen
Smooth, powder-blue aragonite in rounded botryoidal lobes, with two white aragonite bubbles at the right edge and a thin band of white along the base. The surface has a soft, almost porcelain finish and the blue is even across the piece.
Yunnan blue aragonite in this pastel tone is the colour collectors chase; the white overgrowth adds a second generation and the piece stands flat on its own.
