About this specimen
Electric-blue cyanotrichite forms tiny urchin-like tufts with malachite on cubic fluorite from Qinglong. Bright radial fibers emerge from several points along the dark gray host, while small green coatings occupy nearby seams. Pale mineral crust outlines selected fluorite edges and emphasizes the geometric base. Two views show blue tufts on opposite faces and the miniature's unusual contrast between soft hairs and solid cubes. Dimensions: 1.6 × 1.8 × 2.8 cm / 16 × 18 × 28 mm / 0.63 × 0.71 × 1.10 inch. Estimated weight: 8 g / 0.28 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
