About this specimen

Thumbnail mineral specimen: 26 × 20 × 15 mm (1.02 × 0.79 × 0.59 in); longest edge 26 mm (1.02 in).

Guizhou cyanotrichite with gibbsite and malachite at 2.6 cm; a miniature fixed in the box with hot-melt glue.

Cyanotrichite forms velvety tufts of sky-blue needles, a rare copper-aluminium sulfate that Chinese localities now produce in fine quality.

Gibbsite is aluminium hydroxide; the Chinese material forms botryoidal blue-green crusts coloured by trace copper. Velvety, fibrous or botryoidal, malachite reads as pure copper green; the best pieces show silky radiating fibres under magnification.

Guizhou's Qinglong antimony-fluorite district is the classic source for creedite sprays and continues to produce zoned fluorite and calcite.

By size it is miniature. Disclosed condition: hot-melt glue mount. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. Condition is otherwise as photographed.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Cyanotrichite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
