About this specimen
A complete Turkish quartz point encloses vivid green epidote along one side, leaving a broad transparent face open for viewing the interior. The epidote appears to enter the crystal as branching dark-green growth, while a smaller pale quartz point rises near the base. Several angles reveal changes in clarity, termination shape and the depth of the inclusion. The specimen fits a 3.4 cm mineral box and displays well as a compact inclusion study.
Approximate maximum dimensions: 3.4 × 3.4 × 3.4 cm / 34 × 34 × 34 mm / 1.34 × 1.34 × 1.34 inch, estimated from the source 3.4 cm mineral-box envelope. Estimated weight: 37 g / 1.31 oz, calculated from the bounding volume.
