About this specimen
Golden-yellow sphalerite surrounds dark metallic galena faces in a compact upright group. Pale apophyllite details appear along the sides and near the lower edge, contrasting with both the warm translucent-looking areas and the darker reflective crystals. The second angle reveals another projecting galena face and the depth of the surrounding golden growth. Several different face sizes and directions give this small association an uneven, tightly assembled appearance. Dimensions: 1.7 × 2 × 2.3 cm / 17 × 20 × 23 mm / 0.67 × 0.79 × 0.91 inch. Estimated weight: 7 g / 0.25 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
