About this specimen
A large specimen from Qinglong, Guizhou, sold by the supplier as gibbsite and allophane with flower-like gearksutite. A broad sky-blue crust with fine texture covers one face of the matrix. Under UV light it fluoresces, and after the light is switched off it gives a green phosphorescent glow; both are shown in the photos and video. The supplier gives a size of about 9.4 cm, and the caliper in the photos agrees. Natural minerals may have small imperfections; what you see in the photos is what you get.
