About this specimen
Mint and turquoise-green hemimorphite covers a broad plate with a finely sparkling surface. A whitish wavy band crosses the lower front, while small rounded lobes form the paler upper edge. A thin brown matrix rim remains visible beneath the colored growth. The angled photograph shows shallow changes in level across the plate and makes the contrast between the smooth-looking color bands and the minute crystalline surface particularly easy to compare.
