About this specimen
Bright orange spessartine crystals sit among dark smoky quartz and pale greenish chlorite mica on this compact Tongbei specimen from Yunxiao, Fujian.
The front is a shallow bowl of contrasting crystal faces: warm orange garnets punctuate brown to near-black quartz, while broad layered chlorite-mica material rises near one side. An oblique view shows the depth of the crystal pocket and outer matrix. The reverse is pale compact matrix with scattered darker grains and a small tan patch. Three complete source-video stills document the exact specimen from the front, an angled face and the reverse. The supplier identifies spessartine, smoky quartz and chlorite mica; no additional species are asserted. Natural rough edges, surface irregularities and matrix texture are visible, so no flawless condition is claimed. The photographed clear stand and mounting putty are display aids; their inclusion in the sale is unconfirmed.
