About this specimen

Xuebaoding, Sichuan, aquamarine at 6.4 cm and 85 g; a small cabinet single crystal. A blocky pale green aquamarine crystal with frosted faces and a golden mica patch on one side.

Glassy hexagonal prisms and a sea-blue tone define the aquamarine variety.

The Xuebaoding veins of Pingwu County, Sichuan, produced the orange scheelite and muscovite-aquamarine combinations that put Chinese minerals on the map.

The piece is small cabinet in size, 6.4 × 1.6 × 4.6 cm (2.52 × 0.63 × 1.81 in) and 85 g (3.0 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.

Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
