About this specimen
A pink rhodochrosite crystal rises near the top of a densely intergrown quartz group, with smaller pink areas scattered below. Slender clear-looking points cross in front of one another and create an irregular outline around the main colored crystal. Small apatite crystals are included in the recorded association. The alternate-light photograph changes the appearance of scattered areas, while the ordinary-light view shows the clear quartz framework and soft pink accents that define this Guangxi specimen's everyday appearance. Dimensions: 4.2 × 3.3 × 3.7 cm / 42 × 33 × 37 mm / 1.65 × 1.30 × 1.46 inch. Estimated weight: 47 g / 1.66 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
