About this specimen
Small pink rhodonite crystals project from a tall pale matrix, with one near the upper edge and another lower on the front. Dark flecks and brown areas interrupt the white fibrous-looking surface. The source explicitly records asbestos in the association and leaves the small brown mineral unidentified. The angled view shows the pink crystals extending beyond the narrow matrix, with their brighter color contrasting against the surrounding pale and dark textures. Dimensions: 1.6 × 1.3 × 3.2 cm / 16 × 13 × 32 mm / 0.63 × 0.51 × 1.26 inch. Estimated weight: 8 g / 0.28 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
