About this specimen
Two chrysanthemum-like sprays of creedite needles sit side by side, each radiating from a faintly purple centre out to colourless tips, on a small brown matrix. The sprays are complete and the needles are fine enough to look almost like frost.
Qinglong in Guizhou is the classic source for creedite, and the purple-centred sprays are the prized variety. The photos also show the piece under a 365 nm UV torch, where it responds. Very fragile: never touch the needles.
Size 3.4 × 2.2 × 1.1 cm / 1.34 × 0.87 × 0.43 in; weight 5 g / 0.2 oz. Miniature specimen, fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display. Sold as photographed, with any known repair, mount, treatment or condition note disclosed in this listing; colour is as true to hand as the photos allow.
