About this specimen
Golden needle-like growth appears among white and clear-looking quartz crystals. Dense sprays occupy openings between the larger pale faces, with some thin forms crossing the visible cavities. The source explicitly leaves the golden mineral unidentified and only compares its appearance with rutile, so no confirmed rutile identification is offered. The close view reveals the fine branching arrangement around the quartz and the different depths at which the golden sprays occur. Dimensions: 5.2 × 3 × 4.1 cm / 52 × 30 × 41 mm / 2.05 × 1.18 × 1.61 inch. Estimated weight: 93 g / 3.28 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
