About this specimen
Yunnan double-terminated quartz at 4.3 cm and 10.3 g; a miniature. A smoky double-terminated quartz with fine sketch-like lines inside, the smoky sketch-pattern Shanling quartz the supplier names, both tips complete as the supplier notes.
Double-terminated quartz grew free of the wall, so both ends carry natural terminations.
Yunnan's copper and lead-zinc districts produce the azurite, malachite, pyromorphite, hemimorphite and blue aragonite that define Chinese secondary minerals.
