About this specimen
Yunnan double-terminated quartz at 4.2 cm and 9.7 g; a miniature. A milky white double-terminated quartz with a fine porcelain-like sheen the supplier praises and sketch-like lines inside, the white sketch-pattern Shanling quartz the supplier names, both tips complete.
Double-terminated quartz grew free of the wall, so both ends carry natural terminations.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
