Pale straw-yellow and beautifully shaped, this skeletal quartz from Zambia has the stepped, terraced faces and sharp edges typical of skeletal growth. Near its base a long, prismatic tourmaline crystal is enclosed in the quartz; it looks dark at first glance, but backlit it turns a clear bottle-green, with its striations easy to follow.
Between the growth steps the crystal is clear and transparent, with a few white crusty patches on the lower faces. It is comes with a carved root-wood stand. Net weight 2575 g / 90.8 oz.
