一支晶柱自晶群中挺立而出，反射得如同拋光鋼材，晶面亮到足以把整個房間映回給你。其下的塊體則暗得多，是一束垂直排列的平行輝銻礦纖維，各處還撒著自底部蔓延而上的淡奶油色晶簇。
湖南是優質輝銻礦晶體的經典產地，而硫化銻 Sb2S3 是收藏者手上最軟的礦物之一：莫氏硬度 2，軟到指甲就能留下刻痕。那些明亮的晶面正是完全解理面，這既是它們如此善於映照的原因，也是它們如此容易受傷的原因。請握著底部拿取，避免陽光直射，光澤就能在架上維持數十年。
