關於此標本
輝銻礦成束地在炭灰色母岩上扇形展開，像一根根劃亮的火柴，每一枚刃晶都扁平、沿長軸刻著深深的條紋，末端收於明亮的藍鋼色鏡面。最大的一束在標本上三分之一處展開；左緣與右下角則有較小的簇狀花飾重複同樣的姿態，使目光在表面游移時不斷發現新的迸發。
硫化銻，Sb2S3——湖南是收藏家想到這個礦種時最先浮現的省份，而正是像這樣的刃晶群造就了這份聲名。輝銻礦莫氏硬度僅 2，比指甲還軟：稍一碰觸，板條就會彎折斷裂，而鏡面也會在沾到皮膚油脂之處變得黯淡。請握母岩，切勿握晶體，並避免陽光直射，那會讓光澤隨時間灰化。
7.1 × 5.8 × 4.6 cm、145 g，底面平坦，可不假外力站立；不附底座或托架。相機所記錄下來的，就是離開層架的那一件。
