About this specimen
Two transparent-looking purple fluorite cubes project from white dolomite from Xinjiang. The larger upper cube has beveled edges and deep violet zoning, while a smaller crystal emerges below at a different angle. Pale rhombohedral dolomite creates a tall crystalline base around them. The second view shows the narrow side profile and the separation between the two fluorites, preserving the source locality without adding further geographic detail. Dimensions: 1.6 × 2.1 × 3.1 cm / 16 × 21 × 31 mm / 0.63 × 0.83 × 1.22 inch. Estimated weight: 11 g / 0.39 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
