About this specimen

The colour is seawater in shallow light — a soft aqua-green that deepens toward the upper right of the group and cools almost to colourless along the front edges. Glassy cubes step over one another in a low stack, several of them carrying pale frosted overgrowths that sit on the clear faces like breath on glass, and the whole group is transparent enough that you can follow one crystal through the body of the next.

Xianghualing in Hunan is a tin-polymetallic system, and its fluorite runs through this pale blue-green register more often than the saturated purples of other Chinese localities. Some fluorite from the region responds to ultraviolet light and some does not, so treat any fluorescence as a bonus rather than a promise. The species is Mohs 4 with four cleavage directions, which makes edge knocks the main risk in transit and on the shelf.

The cluster is 4.1 × 3.3 × 2.8 cm and weighs 50 g, resting on a clear acrylic block with white putty beneath. You are buying the specimen shown here.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
