About this specimen

Triangles run all over this piece — broad, flat-bottomed etch figures where the white quartz frosting thins to nothing and the fluorite beneath shows through in steel blue and dove grey. One window on the left face opens onto a clear teal patch that holds its colour even in flat light. The rest is all texture, all half-hidden depth.

Those triangles are neither damage nor cutting. They are the octahedral directions inside a cube made visible, exposed when late fluids bit into the crystal faces before a pulse of silica sealed everything over. Blue is among the less common colours to come out of the Fujian fluorite pockets, and it is fragile in the way that matters — CaF2, Mohs 4, perfect cleavage on those same octahedral planes. Hold the piece by its quartz crust, which is far harder than what it protects.

It measures 7.1 × 3.8 × 3.8 cm and weighs 150 g, heavy for its size as fluorite tends to be. Photographed unmounted, straight from the hand; the images are of this specimen alone.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
