About this specimen
A narrow blue formation rises from a broader rounded foot, with clear gypsum creating reflective surfaces over the gibbsite association. Small rounded lobes break up the upright outline, and paler areas highlight the uneven crest. An additional photograph uses ultraviolet lighting, producing a greener appearance than the ordinary-light image. The contrast between these lighting conditions is useful to compare, while the tall, irregular shape remains the specimen's most recognizable feature. Dimensions: 3 × 1.7 × 4.5 cm / 30 × 17 × 45 mm / 1.18 × 0.67 × 1.77 inch. Estimated weight: 13 g / 0.46 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
