About this specimen
Broad clear-looking quartz points meet at different angles above a compact lower cluster. Fine dark flecks interrupt some of the faces and interior areas, while a small green patch appears near an upper edge. Specular hematite and epidote are recorded with the quartz. The closer view emphasizes the larger transparent-looking surfaces, and the wider photograph reveals smaller crossing points beneath them, creating an irregular silhouette with several distinct crystal directions. Dimensions: 3 × 3.5 × 4.8 cm / 30 × 35 × 48 mm / 1.18 × 1.38 × 1.89 inch. Estimated weight: 67 g / 2.36 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
