About this specimen
Clear quartz crystals fan outward around bright green epidote from Sichuan. Several transparent points cross near the center, showing sharp terminations and internal veils, while small olive blades fill the contact zones and lower matrix. The compact association has an airy open structure rather than a solid mass. Two views reveal additional epidote between the quartz prisms and the specimen's balanced radial arrangement. Dimensions: 3.8 × 2.7 cm / 38 × 27 mm / 1.50 × 1.06 inch. Estimated weight: 16 g / 0.56 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
