About this specimen
A miniature double-terminated quartz crystal from Inner Mongolia is crossed by a glossy dark hematite rosette and a smaller companion point. The long pale prism has delicate stepped growth and pointed ends, while the compact metallic flower creates a dramatic center of gravity. Four clean views document the unusual transverse composition, tiny termination faces and the specimen's naturally balanced handheld scale.
