About this specimen
Natural etching has carved this water-clear pollucite from the Shigar valley near Skardu, Pakistan, into a lacy, glacier-like form full of ridges, hollows and glassy edges. Pollucite is a cesium-bearing zeolite-group mineral that is rarely seen this transparent. Hints of pink show where light passes through the thickest parts. These photos are still frames taken from the supplier's video of this exact specimen.
