About this specimen

One celadon cube carries this Xianghualing specimen. It stands proud of a pale drusy matrix, its faces built from fine stepped terraces, its interior a misty green that gathers toward the centre and thins to near-colourless at the corners. Behind and beside it, smaller blue-green cubes and a few pinkish crystals stay low on the rock.

Fluorite is calcium fluoride, CaF2, and at Mohs 4 it is soft enough to take a scratch from a steel blade. It also cleaves perfectly along octahedral planes, which is why a knock lifts a corner off a cube rather than chipping the face — carry this one by the matrix, never by the crystal. The terraced faces record growth that stalled and restarted, layer over layer, instead of closing in one smooth plane.

The specimen runs 10.2 × 4.6 × 3.8 cm and weighs 180 g. It is photographed unmounted, exactly as it will arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
