About this specimen
Glassy fluorite cubes sit on a pale granitic block from Yaogangxian, and their interiors tell the story: dark green chlorite drifts through the crystals in cloudy layers, sealed in place by later growth, while the outer edges carry a thin violet trace. Where the chlorite thins, the fluorite is clear enough to read print through.
Chlorite-included fluorite is the mine’s quiet specialty. It never shouts like the saturated purples, but each crystal holds a legible growth history — green mineral captured mid-crystallization, framed in glass.
It measures 6.0 × 5.1 × 4.8 cm and weighs 110 g, on the acrylic base shown. Natural and untreated; the photographs show the exact specimen.
