About this specimen
Small purple fluorite crystals are scattered across a pale quartz-covered plate. Several darker violet centers sit within lighter outer faces, and the crystals vary in size along the broad front. One angled view reveals the thin brown underside beneath the white crystalline surface. The separated placement of the purple forms leaves much of the fine quartz texture visible, giving this Fujian specimen a light background punctuated by distinct violet accents rather than a continuous colored covering. Dimensions: 6 × 2.5 × 3 cm / 60 × 25 × 30 mm / 2.36 × 0.98 × 1.18 inch. Estimated weight: 47 g / 1.66 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
