Dozens of short prismatic crystals grow in every direction. Their faces are bright and glassy, and the tips flash pale silver where they catch the light, against a warm smoky-brown body colour. Fujian Province in south-east China has produced a range of attractive calcite in recent years, and this piece shows the short prismatic habit and warm colour of the find.
