About this specimen
Translucent green fluorite forms a band of larger angular crystals above a thick white crystalline coating. Flat and stepped-looking surfaces interrupt the green area, while the quartz-rich foreground is covered in much finer reflective points. Small white growths appear along the boundary.
The specimen has a broad face with a clear upper-and-lower contrast: green crystals above, dense pale sparkle below.
Locality: Fujian, China. Weight: 200 g (7.05 oz). Dimensions: 8 × 5 × 6 cm (80 × 50 × 60 mm; 3.15 × 1.97 × 2.36 in).
