About this specimen
Deep green color appears inside a paler, frosted fluorite crystal from Namibia. Broad faces frame the darker central zone; the reverse and rotation views show irregular cleavage surfaces and the changing depth of color. The photographs show the exact one-of-a-kind specimen.
Mineral: Fluorite
Locality: Namibia
Approximate specimen dimensions: 1.5 × 1.3 × 1.1 cm / 15 × 13 × 11 mm / 0.59 × 0.51 × 0.43 in
Estimated mineral weight: about 5 g / 0.18 oz
The source gives a 1.5 cm size reference without identifying an axis. The three-axis dimensions shown here are an approximate visual envelope; axis assignment, the other two dimensions and weight are estimates from the photographs and rotation video, not ruler or scale measurements.
