About this specimen
An icy skeletal quartz crystal displays open growth windows and layered internal structure. The broad transparent point has an irregular stepped termination, glassy faces, and pale gray veils that create a frozen landscape through the center. Natural edge texture and small recessed areas preserve its fenster-like character rather than a polished surface. Two hand-held views show the changing clarity, reflective planes, and compact sculptural form of this 20 g crystal. Dimensions: 4 × 2 cm / 40 × 20 mm / 1.57 × 0.79 inch. Recorded weight: 20 g / 0.71 oz.
