About this specimen
Guizhou double-terminated quartz at 6 cm and 112 g; a small cabinet piece. A stout jet-black double-terminated quartz with mirror-like faces, the black-knight Shanling quartz the supplier names, both tips complete as the supplier notes.
Double-terminated quartz grew free of the wall, so both ends carry natural terminations.
Guizhou is the source of the collector creedite and hosts important fluorite, calcite and copper-mineral localities around Qinglong.
