About this specimen
A long pale fluorite-bearing piece has golden pyrite patches concentrated near its raised upper edge. Baryte is also recorded in the association. Small rounded-looking crystal surfaces cover much of the lighter front, while a darker seam appears along part of the side. The oblique photograph reveals a thin layered profile behind the broad face and makes the reflective pyrite area more prominent. Its elongated outline gives the pale crystalline texture and metallic patches room to contrast across the specimen. Dimensions: 9 × 2.3 × 5 cm / 90 × 23 × 50 mm / 3.54 × 0.91 × 1.97 inch. Estimated weight: 108 g / 3.81 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
