About this specimen
Pale green emerald crystals emerge from a rounded pink and white feldspar matrix from Yunnan. Numerous small green forms gather through the center, with lighter ends and irregular cavities giving the surface depth. The reverse displays more of the softly colored host and a narrower band of green crystal growth. The source identification is preserved while the photographs emphasize the specimen's pastel contrast and compact, almost oval outline. Dimensions: 1.7 × 2.1 × 2.2 cm / 17 × 21 × 22 mm / 0.67 × 0.83 × 0.87 inch. Estimated weight: 8 g / 0.28 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
