About this specimen
A slender bar of pale, sugary feldspar carries one small but sharp purple fluorite cube near its top edge, with a second purple speck lower down and a thin film of calcite and mica across the face. It is a floater, complete on all sides, so it can be turned to any angle.
Yunxiao County pegmatite pockets in Fujian produce the orange spessartine most collectors know; purple fluorite on feldspar from the same pockets is much less common and this is a neat miniature example.
Size 5.3 × 2.5 × 2.2 cm / 2.09 × 0.98 × 0.87 in; weight 17 g / 0.6 oz. Small cabinet specimen, displays well on a shelf or in a cabinet. Sold exactly as photographed; any known repair, mount, treatment or condition note is disclosed in this listing.
