About this specimen
Purple-rimmed yttrofluorite forms tall parallel ridges with pale blue-green gibbsite from Qinglong. Rust-brown matrix separates the mineral bands, while narrow lavender edges outline the darker fluorite surfaces. Small turquoise gibbsite clusters appear along the sides and in protected seams. Two views show the repeated vertical pattern, changing purple border, and unusual combination distributed across both faces of the upright specimen. Dimensions: 4.2 × 2 × 5.3 cm / 42 × 20 × 53 mm / 1.65 × 0.79 × 2.09 inch. Estimated weight: 46 g / 1.62 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
