About this specimen
A cabinet-size cluster of soft pink, translucent calcite crystals stacked in blocky rhombs, with small brassy pyrite grains scattered in the gaps. Fluoresces under a UV torch, as the photos show. The pink is pale but even.
Fujian pink calcite with pyrite at 560 g; a display piece with a gentle colour. Calcite: never clean with acid.
