About this specimen
Rounded brown calcite crystals crowd across a broad Hubei matrix, many carrying fine metallic pyrite that flashes between smoky crystal faces. Pale dolomite blades thread through the cluster and break up the darker surface with cream-colored accents. The front view emphasizes the densely packed, grape-like groups, while the close angle reveals individual crystal edges beneath the pyrite dusting. At 80 × 60 × 55 mm, this is a substantial cabinet specimen with an irregular natural base and deep surface relief.
Dimensions: 8 × 6 × 5.5 cm / 80 × 60 × 55 mm / 3.15 × 2.36 × 2.17 inch. Estimated weight: 249 g / 8.78 oz, calculated from the measured bounding volume.
