About this specimen
Deep red hematoid quartz crystals sit with dark metallic hematite on a pale Shanxi matrix. Several blocky red-brown crystals show angular faces and black-gray coatings, while cream host material creates strong contrast around the cluster. Two hand-held views show the dense intergrowth and approximately 70 mm source-referenced scale. The photographs document this exact specimen and its natural variation under the seller's lighting. Both angles inform the final description and scale review. Dimensions: 7 × 5 × 4 cm / 70 × 50 × 40 mm / 2.76 × 1.97 × 1.57 inch. Estimated weight: 120 g / 4.23 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
