About this specimen
A smooth, water-clear quartz egg with fine white rutile needles scattered through it at every angle, like frost scratches on a window or a handful of dropped pins. The needles are delicate and silvery rather than golden, and they stand out sharply against the clear body.
Shine a light through the egg and a soft blue haze rises inside, tinting the needles and the clear areas a cool moonlight blue. In normal room light it is crystal clear with a few tiny veils near the narrow end. The shape is polished to a comfortable palm stone.
