About this specimen
Small clear-looking quartz forms rest on a dense surface of black specular hematite plates. The dark blades overlap in different directions, creating long reflective lines around the pale crystals. Several quartz faces rise independently from the surrounding metallic texture. The close view emphasizes their short pointed outlines and the depth between adjacent hematite layers, while the wider photograph shows the broad, low profile of the dark supporting group. Dimensions: 4.8 × 1.9 × 4.2 cm / 48 × 19 × 42 mm / 1.89 × 0.75 × 1.65 inch. Estimated weight: 51 g / 1.80 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
