About this specimen
Small smoky quartz points and green epidote growth rise above a pale feldspar matrix. The darker crystals occupy several separate areas, with reflective green faces near the upper side and brown-gray quartz extending from neighboring recesses. The broad pale host remains exposed through the center. The close view reveals fine lines across the darker projecting forms and the contrast between their smooth faces and the granular white feldspar around them.
