About this specimen
A single fuzzy, pale yellow ball of stibiconite sits on a wedge of black matrix, with a smaller ball beside it; the ball is made of fine radiating fibres and looks like a dandelion head. Fluoresces under a UV torch, as the photos show.
Hunan stibiconite in ball form is rare; an 18 g thumbnail for the antimony-mineral collector. Very fragile: never touch the ball.
At 4.3 × 3.9 × 1.9 cm (1.69 × 1.54 × 0.75 in) and 18 g (0.6 oz) it is a miniature specimen that fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display. Sold as photographed, with any known repair, mount, treatment or condition note disclosed in this listing; colour is as true to hand as the photos allow.
