About this specimen

Close up, the cubes fill the frame in indigo — a blue-leaning violet that runs nearly black in the deepest crystals and lifts to periwinkle where a face turns to the light. They are stacked, not scattered: cube edges parallel to cube edges, each crystal grown on the flank of the last in shallow steps, with fine ledges terracing the larger faces. A haze of pale internal texture drifts through the colour, and orange grains sit in the crevices.

Parallel growth like this happens when a fluorite crystal holds its orientation while adding new cubes at corners and edges, so the piece can read as a stack of city blocks from one angle and a single crystal from another. It is translucent rather than clear: light enters, diffuses and comes back coloured, which is why the darker zones look bottomless. Octahedral cleavage is perfect at Mohs 4, so lift it by the mass, never by a projecting cube.

The cluster measures 5.6 × 2.9 × 4.5 cm and weighs 115 g. The pictures show this cluster and nothing else, shot in hand so the interior colour reads true.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
