About this specimen
Velvety green malachite coats upright baryte crystals in this DR Congo miniature. Several blocky forms rise like a small tower group, their faces covered by fine emerald texture with darker seams between the crystals. A narrow pale-brown contact remains visible near the base and provides warm contrast. Two views show the changing prismatic silhouette, dense green coating, and unusual mineral-over-mineral architecture of the specimen. Dimensions: 1.5 × 1.8 cm / 15 × 18 mm / 0.59 × 0.71 inch. Estimated weight: 2 g / 0.07 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
