A rounded mass entirely carpeted in bright, velvety green malachite known as moss malachite: the surface is made of countless tiny fibrous tufts, so it reads as a soft green lawn rather than a hard crust.
Yunnan's copper districts produce this fibrous-tuft malachite; it is fragile at the surface, so keep it dust-free with a soft blower rather than a brush.
